Privacy policy

How we collect, use and store personal data, and what you can ask us to do about it.

This policy explains what personal data Consultensor Ltd (“we”) collects through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. We are the data controller for that data.

Who we are

Consultensor Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales under company number 17453066. Registered office: 40 Copperfield Ave, Uxbridge, UB8 3NX, United Kingdom. You can contact us about anything in this policy at info@consultensor.com.

What we collect

When you submit the enquiry form on this site, we collect:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • your company name and phone number, if you choose to give them;
  • the service you selected and the message you wrote;
  • where you are enquiring about the startup program, the stage of your company, a description of your product, and the support you are looking for;
  • the time you submitted the form, any pricing-call request, and that you ticked the consent box.

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies on this website, and we do not build a profile of your browsing.

Why we collect it, and our lawful basis

We use the details you submit solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you go on to become a client, to carry out that work. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and, once an engagement begins, the performance of a contract with you.

We do not add enquirers to a marketing list, and we do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for their own purposes.

Who processes it on our behalf

Form submissions are processed by our website hosting provider and sent by email to info@consultensor.com. Our hosting and email providers process the data on our instructions and under their own data processing terms; we do not keep a separate database of enquiry messages on the website. Where any provider we use stores or transfers data outside the UK or European Economic Area, we ensure an appropriate legal safeguard, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision, covers that transfer.

To limit spam, the form handler keeps short-lived counters keyed by a hashed network address. These contain no enquiry messages and are pruned on subsequent submissions after their limit window expires. Hosting access logs may also record network addresses.

If you become an IT support client

This website only collects the enquiry details listed above. If you go on to take our managed IT support service, providing it means handling data held in your systems, such as user accounts, devices and support tickets. We may use specialist support partners to deliver parts of that service. Where we do, they act as our sub-processors: they process data only on our instructions, under a written contract that includes data protection terms at least as protective as our own, and we remain responsible to you for how that data is handled. The sub-processors involved, and the data processing terms that apply, are set out in the agreement we make with you before the service begins, and we will tell you before adding or replacing one.

How long we keep it

Where an enquiry does not lead to an engagement, we keep the correspondence for up to 12 months and then delete it. Where an enquiry becomes a client engagement, we retain the related records for as long as the engagement continues and for up to 6 years afterwards, to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations under UK law.

Cookies

This website does not itself set cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking, and no cookie banner is shown because there is nothing to consent to. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary cookie required to operate the site, which does not require consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). If we introduce analytics or advertising cookies in future, we will update this policy and add a consent mechanism first.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our using it, and ask for it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. That does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

Write to info@consultensor.com and we will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first at info@consultensor.com so we can put it right. You can also complain to the UK’s supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our processing or in the law. We will post any changes on this page.
